Then our Level 3 tours on Madeira are just the thing for you! Here, we leave the beginner-level gorges behind and venture deeper into the island's most spectacular, unspoilt canyons. Together, we'll tackle higher waterfalls and thrilling abseil sections, experiencing pure adrenaline - all perfectly supervised by your certified ICA and CIC guide, Michael.

Our advanced tours take you to Madeira's most impressive locations. Whether it's thrills in the beautifully green Camisa gorge in Pota Delgada with abseil points up to 30 metres high, a jungle tour through the unspoilt Furna gorge in Santana, or action-packed slides down the dark volcanic rock of Seixal - every gorge has its own unique character. You'll learn important advanced techniques such as active rope handling, belaying and independent abseiling down majestic, thundering waterfalls.

Which canyon will we descend?
- I select the perfect Level 3 canyon based on current weather, safety conditions, and water levels. If you have a specific gorge in mind, just let me know, and I will do my best to make it happen!
Where do we meet?
- We can meet either at our base in Ribeira Brava or directly at the canyon's parking area. You will receive the exact location pin and all final details via email or WhatsApp the day before your tour. Check our canyoningmap to have an overview.
What are the prerequisites for Level 3?
- Minimum age of 18 years

Cales inferior
Get ready for a thrilling sunshine adventure! This spectacular tour features 13 action-packed abseils, with 5 of them plunging over 20 meters down towering waterfalls. By utilizing two vehicles, we can keep the approach and return walks incredibly short.
Folhado inferior
Nestled in the breathtaking mountain basin above Seixal, the Folhado Gorge delivers non-stop action! This highly compact tour offers spectacular abseils in rapid succession, with virtually no walking distance between the individual waterfalls. Including an amazing approach hike.
Agua Negra inferior
A spectacular approach leads you straight to the famous 25 Fontes. This challenging canyon kicks off with a tough entry before opening into a magnificent, action-packed middle section. I will also guide you along the hidden return trail that is nearly impossible to track alone.
Camisa
Tucked away in a deep, dramatic valley above Ponta Delgada, the Camisa canyoning tour is a true nature lover's dream. Your adventure begins with a stunning approach through a lush, jungle-like landscape, leading to spectacular waterfall abseils of up to 30 meters!
Loiral inferior
My longest Level 3 tour! Discovered and first descended by Michael in the deep valley of Ponta do Sol. This remote mega-route features nearly 30 beautiful abseils, offering an unmatched deep-wilderness adventure for true vertical enthusiasts!

Hidden in the hills above Paul do Mar, this spectacular gorge was proudly reopened by Casa Vento in 2021 across three epic stages. Prepare for numerous thrilling abseils enclosed by towering rock faces in one of the very few canyons located in Madeira's sunny south!

Hidden in the deep valley of Tabua lies the rarely visited Canyon Mijas Velhas. A strenuous but highly rewarding ascent brings you straight into a dense jungle paradise, offering a pure and authentic canyoning expedition far off the beaten track.
